The Civil Engineering Department was established in the year 2011.

The Civil Engineering Department offers B.E. programme with intake of 120 students.

Civil Engineering Department offers Under-Graduate and Post-Graduate programmes in civil engineering and other skill development courses that add value to student competencies. It promotes quality education, research and consultancy for industrial and societal needs. It inculcate moral and ethical values among the students. Also to impart knowledge with emphasis on the development of leadership qualities in students. We provide state-of-the-art resources that contributes to a congenial learning environment. The Department encourages students to pursue higher education and take competitive exams and various career enhancing courses. To establish centres of excellence in emerging areas of research. Also to have regular interaction with industry and offer solutions to their problems.

Library

The institute has an automated user friendly library with large collection of resources that collectively support the teaching, research and extension programmes of the Institute. The Library has over 3500 registered users which comprises of students, faculty members and non teaching staff.

The Library provides assistance to its users ranging from location of a book to finding specific information required by a user. A suggestion book is maintained with in charge, Reader’s Services where the users of the Library can suggest measures for improvements in its facilities and services. The Library arranges books and journals from other libraries in Gujarat on Inter Library Loan (ILL). Photocopies of research articles are also arranged from other IIT Gandhinagar under a resource sharing agreement signed by IIT. The Library also facilitates Demand based procurement of research publications, photocopies of research articles, etc. from other IITs and institutions in Gujarat and other reputed institution to support teaching learning process.

The Library remains open throughout the year except on holidays. The library is located on the top floor of the building and remains open from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM on weekdays.

Transportation

A dedicated transport facility with a well managed fleet of Buses covering all the major routes of Ahmedabad City and peripheral areas is available to the students. Besides, AMTS (Route No. 124 from Maninagar & 125 from Lal Darwaja), Gujarat ST local buses and shuttle auto rickshaws are easily available for commuting.

Cafeteria

The institute has centrally located cafeteria that caters to the taste of all students. The cafeteria is outsourced to run on a yearly basis to experienced caterers. The contractors are provided with modern infrastructure facilities at low cost in order to work out affordable price for the food items served. The cafeteria serves tea, coffee, cold drinks, ice-cream, snacks, lunch & different varieties of cuisines throughout the day in affordable rates. Management monitors and ensures that the food is cooked and served in hygienic conditions.

Auditorium

Hasmukh Goswami College of Engineering has a well-equipped auditorium with a seating capacity of over 200 people. The auditorium is spacious, well ventilated and has well furnished halls. A regular venue for conferences, workshops and seminars, this auditorium has all the facilities to enhance the learning process and is a vast space that serves the varied requirements of quality education.

Admission

Admission Process: Hasmukh Goswami College of Engineering follows the rules, regulation and guidelines given by AICTE, New Delhi and Government of Gujarat for admission in Diploma Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering (BE), Maser of Engineering (ME) and Master of Business Administration (MBA). As per the rules, 50% seats will be filled by Central Admission Committee formed by Govt. of Gujarat and 50% seats will be filled by the institute under Management Quota.
The students willing to secure admission under management quota are required to contact admission committee of the institute after result declaration qualifying examination. These seats will be filled as per the guidelines of the concerned admission committee formed by the Govt. of Gujarat.

Online Admission Process: Admission process will be initiated by the central admission committee by giving advertisement in news paper and is consists of mainly three phases:
1. Distribution of Booklet/PIN from designated branches the bank and Online Registration.
2.Preparation and declaration of merit & Online Choice filling.
3.Admission allotment & confirmation.

Offline Admission Process: The admission for the management quota seats will be carried out by the institute as per the guidelines of the central admission committee. The Students willing to secure admission under management quota are required to contact admission committee of the institute.
